So here goes the first breathing test for my new armature. It's just a few frames - some doubling and sequencing to get an idea of the movement, figure out how much to move it each frame.

Nice armature! Have you skinned a pup and shot a test to see how well it works? I like how you put the mechanism low- so your puppet would be breathing from the diaphragm. You know your stuff!
